Linda Monaci

Linda Monaci is Acting Director of IBIOM - Institute of Biomembranes, Bioenergetics and Molecular Biotechnologies at National Research Council of Italy – CNR, and is the head of the proteomics and food allergy team. She has 27 years’ experience in the field of food and nutrition and use of proteomic platforms for protein characterizations. She has led national and EU-funded projects in the field of food safety, food authenticity, food allergy and targeted nutrition and is currently CNR responsible of the PNRR project TAHYTI focused on the establishment of allergens thresholds and production of hypoallergenic foods. Dr Linda Monaci has taken active part in international bodies working on the standardization of methodologies for allergen detection such as AOAC-US, CEN, EFSA, and is past President of MoniQA Association.

She has co-authored over 120 peer-reviewed scientific papers, chaired sessions in International congress and has been invited speaker at several conferences around the globe. She is editor of scientific peer-reviewed journals and guest editor of numerous special issues in the field of food safety and allergy.
