Dario Gregori

Full Professor at University of Padova

Dario is a full professor of medical statistics at the University of Padova. After graduating in Statistics at Pennsylvania State University (US), he got a PhD in Applied Statistics in 1995 at the University of Firenze. After being an Associate Professor at the University of Torino for almost 10 years, he moved to Padova in 2009. He is Vice-Director of the residency program in Medical Statistics and Biometrics and Coordinator of the Ph.D. Program in Specialized and Translational Medicine “G.B. Morgagni” at the University of Padova. He is a fellow of the American College of Nutrition and the Obesity Society. 
His interests include clinical predictive modeling and machine learning algorithms for biomedical research, including the use of big data and wearable devices for primary and secondary prevention. He holds several grants in this field from national and international agencies. Among the most recents, he is Principal Investigator for several framework contracts with EFSA and ECDC, the Statistical section of the 10th Edition of the IASLC (International Association for Lung Cancer Staging) staging program of Lung, Pleura and Thymus cancers, the European Society for Thoracic Surgery (ESTS) data environment, and for the FISA (Fondo Italiano Scienze Applicate) for the development of a Federated Learning System for biomedical research. 
Today, he has published 756 papers (12732 citations, H-index 56) and several books for national and international publishers.
