The tree of
collaboration
A Living
Network
At ILSI Europe, collaborative science is like a living tree.
Rooted in scientific excellence, integrity and relevance to public health, a strong trunk rises: our tripartite collaboration model, bringing together experts from academia, industry and the public sector to address complex questions facing the food system. From this trunk grow the branches of our research, spanning the key domains of food safety, nutrition and sustainability.
Over time, these branches have formed a dense network of connections, reflecting the people, ideas and themes that link experts across disciplines. Together, they sustain a canopy of scientific contributions that have spported progress in the food sector for 40 years. Like a living tree, this network continues to evolve — growing stronger as partners join, and changing shape as knowledge circulates, and new challenges emerge.

Become Part
of the Tree
A tree grows stronger as more roots connect and more branches extend. Our collaborative network thrives when experts from different backgrounds bring their knowledge, perspectives and questions to the table. Industry scientists can join through company membership, helping shape the scientific agenda of our Task Forces, contributing to research and publications, and supporting events that bring the community together. Academic researchers and public sector experts strengthen the tree’s scientific foundations when joining Expert Groups, advising task forces, or contributing to our scientific committees. Their participation is voluntary and driven by a shared commitment to collaborative science and public health.
